Family Affair Distributing Inc.
Being a member of ACIT affords
businesses the opportunity, across a wide range of
initiatives, to partake in networking events that are
designed to impart knowledge and develop business
connections.
The term "networking" can be overused today and oftentimes
reflects an implicit element of quid pro quo. This is not
the case with ACIT networking events. Our events and forums
are solely designed to be informative and resourceful, with
the core goal of providing discernable benefit to the
business owners and professionals who are spending their
valuable time with us.
We are recognized for having among the best-organized and
best-attended events on Long Island. Because we understand
the needs of our members, ACIT makes it an imperative to
provide quality access to notable and issue-relevant
speakers as well as key Long Island decision and policy
makers. We are an organization without political agenda or
motive, thus providing our membership with opportunities to
hear all sides of issues impacting life on Long Island.
Our networking events take many forms:
Monthly Breakfasts and Luncheons
Expos and Trade Shows
Business and Technology Symposiums
Plus, we take the opportunity to celebrate business
relationships and the great accomplishments of our business
communities through such events as:
Golf Outings
Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hartman Humanitarian Luncheon
Annual Leadership Awards Luncheon
ACIT has been serving and supporting the needs of Long
Island businesses for forty-five years. Our organization
began simply enough; a local group of business professionals
sought to create a forum of information exchange in order to
learn about resources for their businesses and to share
experiences and opportunities for growth.
Now, over four decades later, ACIT continues its strong
tradition of providing such access to small and mid-size
businesses across all of Long Island. Today, our
organization represents hundreds of businesses across all
spectrums of industry, asset size, and business lifecycle
(i.e. start-ups, growing businesses, maturing businesses,
etc.). Making a business impact in today's fast paced,
time-stressed and highly competitive marketplace is a
challenge. At ACIT, we fully understand this and translate
this to our core deliverable: Providing real and consistent
value to our members.

Dear
Margaret:
After nearly 40 years I will be leaving Long
Island at the end of June and am moving to Boynton Beach.
With a tear in my eye and a knot in my heart I will be
saying good-by to a great many friends and business
associates. And one of my fondest associates is you and the
ACIT.
Having searched far and wide for a networking
organization that understood the definition of networking,
five years ago I settled on the ACIT and I've never had to
look back.
The enormous turnout at your events has always impressed me
and I have found your members to be friendly and ever ready
to talk business. I've been successful in making many
valuable contacts over the years that have helped me to grow
my business, and can only hope that I find a comparable
organization in Florida.
And, I have to say that, clearly, you make the difference.
You are relentless in your efforts to make each event a
success. Yet, with all that you have to do you find the time
to make people welcome and introduce newcomers to the fold.
You will be sorely missed.
Fondly
Dave Posner

From the minute I attended my first meeting at ACIT, I knew
it was a perfect fit for my business. As I looked around
the room, I could see that the possibilities for networking
were endless. ACIT allows me to meet other businesses who
can utilize my company's products and services and
also brings me together with other businesses I can refer
others to as well. My membership has also allowed me the
ability to access other members on a more equal footing and
has afforded me the ability to join committees where I can
not only be of service but I can network on a smaller and
more intimate level. Finally, I also love the fact that
ACIT gives back to the community in their tireless efforts
to help the non for profit organizations on Long Island. I
can not say enough about ACIT and the benefits of joining
this incredible networking organization. The friendships I
have made and the business contacts that I have made are
invaluable to me and I have see tremendous growth in my
business due directly to my association with ACIT!
I highly recommend ACIT to any one who wants to take
their business to the next level!

ACIT means
business. I invite clients and potential clients to join my
table, and business happens! This month alone I got TWO
thank you notes from people who met and followed up with new
clients for themselves.
It really works.
